SAP Finance Application Manager

We are currently supporting a global organisation undergoing a significant finance systems and digital transformation programme, and they are looking to appoint an experienced SAP Finance Applications Lead to join their technology team.

This role will act as the key technology partner to the Finance organisation, helping drive system improvements, process optimisation, and application strategy across a complex international environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner closely with Finance stakeholders to align technology initiatives with business objectives
• Translate business requirements into functional and technical solutions
• Lead delivery of system enhancements, upgrades, and transformation initiatives
• Identify opportunities to improve finance processes through automation and digital technologies
• Support issue resolution, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities
• Oversee testing, governance, compliance, and change management processes
• Manage application performance, maintenance activities, and vendor relationships
• Collaborate with global teams and provide regular stakeholder reporting

Required Experience

• Strong hands-on experience across SAP Financials (FI/CO) and related integrations
• Experience working within complex enterprise SAP environments (ECC required, S/4HANA beneficial)
• Good understanding of finance, controlling, and costing processes
• Experience supporting global finance teams and compliance-driven environments
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience leading projects, enhancements, or application support activities

Nice to Have

• Exposure to tools such as BlackLine, OneStream, Lease Controller, or OneSource
• Experience within SOX-controlled or US GAAP environments
• Previous experience operating within global Matrix organisations
