SAP APE (Application Process Engine) Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP APE Expert for a critical 12-month freelance contract. This role is pivotal in optimizing and managing complex business processes within our SAP ecosystem, specifically leveraging the Application Process Engine.

Role Overview

• Role: SAP APE Consultant/Expert

• Type: Freelance Contract

• Duration: 1 Year (with possibility of extension)

• Start Date: Within the next 4 weeks

• Location: Hybrid (Remote with one trip per month to the office in Portugal)

• Language: English (Professional Proficiency)

Key Responsibilities

• Process Design & Implementation: Design, configure, and implement business processes using the SAP Application Process Engine (APE).

• Technical Optimization: Fine-tune existing APE workflows to ensure high performance and scalability across global operations.

• Integration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate APE with other SAP modules and external third-party systems.

• Troubleshooting & Support: Act as the Tier-3 subject matter expert for complex technical issues related to the APE framework.

• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including process flows, configuration guides, and functional specifications.

Requirements & Qualifications

• SAP Expertise: Proven track record as an SAP Consultant with a deep specialization in SAP APE (Application Process Engine).

• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of SAP architecture, ABAP (for debugging/enhancements), and process modelling.

• Industry Experience: Experience in large-scale SAP environments, preferably within global enterprise projects.

• Soft Skills: Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work independently in a remote/hybrid setup.

• Availability: Must be able to travel to Portugal once a month (3-5 days per trip) and start the engagement by [Insert Date 4 weeks out].
