Salesforce Developer

On behalf of UKRI, we are looking for a JOB TITLE (Inside IR35) for a 6 month contract based REMOTELY with occasional visits to Swindon.

UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) is the national funding agency investing in science and research in the UK.

Purpose of the role

UKRI Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) department provides the enterprise technical services that underpin and enable UKRI's business capabilities. Within DDaT, the Data Portfolio Team are undertaking a number of change projects to enhance UKRI's data landscape.

Overall Purpose:

The Salesforce Developer, reporting to the Data Portfolio Manager, will work with other members of Salesforce and Mulesoft agile delivery team to implement solutions which leverage the power of the Salesforce platform.

Responsibilities
. Design and develop solutions, custom objects and business workflows using Salesforce Sales and Service Clouds and associated technologies, including VisualForce, Apex, Lightning framework and process builder.
. Apply to UKRI and government standards to deliver reliable, secure solutions
. Peer review and test code and solutions built by colleagues within the agile delivery team
. Work with other delivery teams to undertake data migration & integration activities
. Assist the Solutions Architect and Product Manager in designing solutions and documenting high and low level designs, user stories etc
. Contribute to the continuous integration/improvement of Salesforce solutions as they are released into production
. Day to day membership of and engagement with agile delivery team

Essential skills, qualifications and experience
. Demonstrable experience building effective business solutions using Salesforce technologies - ideally spanning Reports & Dashboards, Apex Classes, Apex Triggers, Test classes, Process Builder & Flows
. Appropriate technical certifications issued by - eg Salesforce Administrator, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud
. Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues
. A self-starter with a track record of delivery and good teamwork
. Methodical approach to creating professional, maintainable solutions
. Experience working in agile delivery teams
. Practical understanding of implementing security and privacy by design
. Awareness of ITIL disciplines that govern the running of live services

Desirable:
. Experience of working within the Public Sector
. Experience working with MuleSoft integration tooling
