Our client is Ireland's largest independent builders' providers, providing a wide range of top-quality building materials and DIY & home improvement supplies to the general public and trade. With a nationwide network of branches, they offer a one stop shop with a wide range of products catering for professional tradespeople, DIY enthusiasts and Homeowners.
The RoleReporting to the National Sales Manager, you will be an experienced Sales Representative representing the company in the Dublin & surrounding region, developing business relationships, and helping customers build their projects with confidence.
Key Responsibilities- Build and maintain customer relationships across trade, construction, and domestic sectors.
- Drive new business development and nurture existing accounts.
- Prepare quotations, pricing proposals, and follow-up activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure excellent service delivery.
- Identify market trends, competitor insights, and growth opportunities.
- Represent our brand at branch events, supplier promotions, and customer days.
- Providing weekly and monthly reports to the National Sales Manager covering the sales activity in the region.
- Previous experience in field sales, ideally in a builder's merchant or construction environment.
- A customer-first mindset and ability to plan, prospect, and convert opportunities.
- Be a result driven person with a proven track record of meeting sales targets.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and follow-up capability.
- Market or product knowledge in building materials an advantage.
- Good IT skills with proficiency in using Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
- Full clean driving licence.
