Job Description

The Genasys story began in 1997 with a founder who recognised that software was the key to improving insurance efficiency and customer experience. We have grown into a recognised insurtech leader with over 25 years behind us, a strong foothold in South Africa and the UK, and expansion under way into international markets. Our mission is to be the preferred software solutions partner to the insurance industry across Europe, Africa and the rest of the world.

Our core values are transparency, honesty, integrity and personal accountability. Our platform is a modular, cloud-based insurance management system that can be applied to any insurance business regardless of currency, language or destination. Clients launch products faster and cut operating costs by an average of 34%, transacting over £3 billion in Gross Written Premium and managing over 1.5 million policies globally. The system has 352 pre-configured product line templates and 486 documented API endpoints.

The platform covers the entire policy lifecycle: no-code tools for wholesale and retail quote-and-bind journeys, renewals, mid-term adjustments and cancellations. It lets insurers, MGAs and brokers build customised workflows, manage complex currency, taxation and multi-language requirements across regions, and support alternative models such as parametric, micro or embedded products.

Reporting directly to the Chief Growth Officer, the core focus of the Sales Director will be to drive successful sales within the identified regions (primarily UK and Europe), build long-lasting customer relationships, and contribute to the company's market presence and growth.

This is a crucial and exciting role as the primary sales lead in the UK and Europe, as Genasys looks to capitalise on strong recent success and continue its momentum as a rapidly scaling Insurtech.

Key Focus Areas:
  • Commercial & Brand Strategy: Analyse markets to identify growth opportunities, estimate revenue, and recommend regional value propositions, messaging, and pricing. Review and refine go-to-market strategies, including marketing channels, events, and partnerships.
  • Marketing: Create and implement Africa-specific marketing plans and campaigns, positioning Genasys as a likeable and bold brand. Utilise global marketing strategies for regional activities across all channels (owned, earned, shared, paid). Identify regional content and PR opportunities, and develop market-specific product marketing collateral.
  • Business Development: Identify and engage with potential leads, opportunities, and partners, nurturing contacts to generate sales-qualified leads. Prepare and facilitate sales pitches, presentations, proposals, quotations, and agreements. Capture business requirements and collaborate with internal stakeholders on sales documents and demos. Own the RFI/RFP process, from negotiation to agreement.
  • Administration / Reporting: Create and maintain board-level management reports, including territory-specific updates, financial tracking, ROI analysis, and forecasting. Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of lead and client information in the CRM.
