About the role

We are seeking a Sales Director who will drive growth in Kidde's residential fire portfolio across the UK and Ireland. This role focuses on leading our sales team, identifying new business opportunities, building strategic relationships with key stakeholders (consultants, contractors, end users, distributors and channel partners), and expanding Kidde's market presence in core and emerging sectors.

Responsibilities

As the Sales Director UK&I, you'll be responsible for:

  • Own and deliver financial and sales growth targets across the UK & Ireland region.
  • Develop and execute a regional sales strategy to grow revenue, market share and long-term profitability.
  • Identify marketplace opportunities and anticipate trends to ensure competitive speed-to-market.
  • Lead accurate forecasting and pipeline reporting to provide visibility of performance and future outlook.
  • Monitor regional competitive landscape and market data to inform strategic decisions and product needs.
Customer & Channel Development
  • Increase market demand by strengthening partnerships with distributors, retailers and channel partners.
  • Build brand awareness for Kidde's residential fire safety product portfolio in the region.
  • Manage customer interface across proposal development, commercial negotiations and ongoing support.
  • Select, develop and manage appropriate sales channels and market segment strategies.
  • Build, motivate and lead a high-performing, customer-focused sales team.
  • Set clear expectations, goals and performance standards; coach and upskill team members to achieve them.
  • Take ownership of future capability development through skills assessment and succession planning.
  • Foster a collaborative, adaptive and improvement-oriented sales culture that drives engagement and satisfaction.
Operational Excellence
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, processes and reporting standards.
  • Maintain and leverage deep knowledge of products, solutions and customer requirements.
  • Use KPIs and metrics to track team performance, course-correct and drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide regular reporting on pipeline, forecasts and regional performance.
To be successful in this role
  • BA in business, marketing, or technical discipline required
  • Track record of successful sales team leadership
  • Proven success in a prior sales role, within the fire and security industry
  • Demonstrated influencing and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in coaching and leading a successful sales team.
  • Ability to monitor progress and performance using Key Performance Indicators / Metrics
  • Proven track record of delivering sales results.

Compensation & Benefits: Individuals may also be eligible for an annual performance bonus based on both individual and company performance. The final compensation for this position will be set based on the individual's knowledge, skills, and experience as it relates to the job requirements.
