The RoleAt Odaios Foods, we're looking for an ambitious and commercially minded Sales Account Manager to grow and develop a portfolio of foodservice and fine food retail customers across Ireland.
This role is about much more than maintaining accounts. You'll be responsible for identifying opportunities, building strategic partnerships, driving profitable growth and positioning Odaios as the supplier of choice within the premium retail and foodservice sector.
Working closely with our specialist teams, you'll create value for customers while delivering sustainable sales and margin growth.
Key Responsibilities / Duties Drive Sales Growth- Develop and execute annual and quarterly account plans to deliver agreed sales, margin and profitability targets.
- Grow existing customer accounts through strategic account development while actively identifying and winning new business opportunities.
- Maximise sales opportunities across the full Odaios product portfolio, including chilled, frozen, ambient, fresh and non-food categories.
- Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline, managing opportunities through every stage of the sales process.
- Develop trusted relationships with key decision makers and influencers within customer accounts.
- Create and implement Joint Business Plans with strategic customers to support long-term growth.
- Conduct regular business reviews, identifying opportunities, resolving challenges and delivering added value.
- Represent Odaios professionally at all customer interactions, industry events and networking opportunities.
- Analyse customer performance, market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth.
- Make commercially sound recommendations on pricing, product mix and promotional activity.
- Identify category development opportunities and lead projects through to successful implementation.
- Deliver engaging customer presentations, product demonstrations and commercial proposals.
- Work closely with Commercial, Purchasing, Marketing, Customer Service, Logistics, Credit Control and Development Chefs to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
- Support the successful onboarding of new customers by ensuring effective communication across departments.
- Share market intelligence and customer insights to influence product range, forecasting and commercial decisions.
- Maintain accurate system records, sales forecasts and pipeline reporting.
- Provide regular updates on account performance, business opportunities and KPIs.
- Ensure customer issues are resolved quickly, escalating where appropriate.
- Work in line with company processes, policies and agreed commercial standards.
- Proven success in B2B account management, business development or field sales.
- Experience within foodservice, hospitality, catering or the wider food industry. Professional kitchen experience would be a distinct advantage.
- Experience managing key customer relationships and delivering commercial growth.
- Strong commercial awareness with excellent negotiation skills.
- Ability to identify opportunities and convert them into profitable business.
- Excellent relationship-building and networking ability.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Self-motivated, organised and results driven.
- Collaborative team player who enjoys working cross-functionally.
- Comfortable using procurement systems and Microsoft Office.
- A full, clean driver's license.
