The ARRSfunding has created a great opportunity for a GP to join our practice. Thisrole is subject to ARRS eligibility, and applicants must not have beensubstantively employed as a GP within our PCN in the previous 12 months.
Thesuccessful applicant will gain valuable experience working as part of a supportive, multidisciplinary team in the centre of Dudley. They will manage a defined caseload and work with patients presenting with a wide range of healthneeds in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for allregistered patients
Main duties of the jobIn accordance with the practice timetable and as agreed, the postholder will be expected to undertake a full range of general practice duties, including:
- Providing facetoface surgery consultations, telephone consultations, and responding to clinical queries.
- Undertaking home visits for housebound patients where required.
- Acting as the duty oncall GP on allocated days in line with the practice rota.
- Managing and prioritising a clinical caseload, including patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed presentations.
- Assessing patients for disease risk factors and early indicators of illness.
- Developing and reviewing individual care plans in partnership with patients and in line with current practice and disease management protocols.
- Providing ongoing care, including counselling, health promotion, and patient education.
- Refering patients to other healthcare professionals and services as appropriate.
- Checking, authorising, and signing acute and repeat prescriptions, and managing related queries.
- Reviewing and actioning laboratory results and clinical correspondence in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Completing clinical tasks using EMIS and Docman.
- Maintaining clear, accurate, and contemporaneous clinical records in line with agreed standards.
- Participating in clinical audit and quality improvement activity as required.
Limestone Surgery is a wellestablished GP practice located in the centre of Dudley, serving a registered population of approximately 4,700 patients. The practice is a member of Dudley and Netherton Primary Care Network (PCN) and provides comprehensive primary care services to a diverse community with a wide range of health needs.
We benefit from a supportive and experienced multidisciplinary team and work collaboratively within the PCN to deliver highquality, patientcentred care. The practice is committed to clinical governance, continuous improvement, and providing a positive working environment that supports learning, development, and effective team working.
Job responsibilitiesThe ARRS funding has created a great opportunity for a GP who is newly qualified. The post-holder must be within 2 years of completing their Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) and not previously been employed as a GP in General Practice. They will gain some experience working with the team in the centre of Dudley, in a healthcentre. They will manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered patients.
Qualifications- Fully registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) with a licence to practise.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
- Eligible for ARRS GP funding, including not having been substantively employed as a GP within our PCN in the previous 12 months.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary primary care team.
- Commitment to high quality, patient centred care.
- Previously qualified GP (experienced GPs welcome).
- Previous experience working in UK general practice.
- Experience of working with EMIS Web clinical systems.
- Interest in clinical audit, quality improvement, or portfolio working.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
