Salaried GP

We have a vacant position for an enthusiastic and motivated GP to join our friendly team at Sandwich Medical Practice. An opportunity exists from January 2027 for a salaried GP, working up to 7 sessions per week. We are prepared to wait for the right candidate.

Sandwich Medical Practice delivers a town focused service to the Sandwich population and surrounding rural areas. As part of the Deal and Sandwich Primary Care Network, the Practice is working collaboratively with other practices in the locality to further develop services and provide innovative solutions, breaking down traditional boundaries to deliver effective patient care. We are excited to be involved with Kent and Medway Medical School, helping to train and educate the next generation of GPs, and Canterbury Christchurch University, supporting nursing students in training.

As a practice, we work very closely as a team and ensure that the workload is shared fairly and equally amongst our clinicians. Our ethos is to help and support each other, so that each clinician has the time to develop their interests. Our GPs meet regularly to discuss clinical issues, share ideas, and contribute to the growth and advancement of the practice. Everyone is encouraged to be part of this process and this enables us to achieve together.

We are based in the beautiful medieval town of Sandwich (). The area has an excellent range of facilities with good local schools, including grammar schools. Canterbury is within a 20 minute drive. We are close to London and the Channel Tunnel with links to Europe. There are many leisure and sporting opportunities close by, including walks, cycling, water sports, cricket and golf.
