Job Description

Glenpark & Teams Medical Services have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, forward-thinking GP to join our friendly and committed team as a salaried GP.

This position is for up to 8 sessions per week, fixed term for one year, working across both of our sites in Dunston and Teams. You will be joining a great team led by 6 GP Partners and working alongside 7 salaried GPs in purpose built surgeries with spacious clinical rooms.

We have recently updated our appointment system to improve patient safety, continuity and access. This also means less frequent on calls for the doctors. There is a reduction in the administrative and prescription tasks for the doctors who are not on call and a team approach to completing this work for the on call team. There are daily informal meetings to have lunch together and to provide support and discuss cases.

Competitive salary/annual leave/study leave given.

We would welcome visits to discuss the role further and for you to meet the team. We would also be interested to hear of any skills you would wish to develop or bring to the team.

Interview Date - Wednesday 29th July 2026

Main duties of the job

At Glenpark and Teams Medical Services we use a clinical triage model for appointments and accessibility. As part of the role, you will be expected to work as part of the triage rota, making clinical decisions on urgency of the appointments requests on that day through the eConsult system.

Outside of the triage rota, you will run your own clinics, managing acute, complex and long-term health conditions and actioning administrative work associated with this.

In addition, you will:

  • Contribute to supervision of Doctors in Training and medical students
  • Provide clinical support to the wider team during duty sessions
