We are seeking a skilled, compassionate and patient-focused General Practitioner to join our friendly and supportive clinical team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a progressive rural dispensing practice committed to delivering high quality, personalised care to our local community.
As a Salaried GP, you will provide comprehensive medical care to patients of all ages, managing a wide range of acute and chronic conditions while promoting preventative healthcare and supporting patients to achieve the best possible outcomes. An interest in Women's Health would be welcomed, although this is desirable rather than essential.
Main duties of the job Working within our established Total Triage model, you will undertake a mixture of telephone and face to face consultations, ensuring patients are seen by the most appropriate clinician in a timely and efficient manner. Our approach supports safe workload management and enables GPs to focus on delivering high quality clinical care.

- Assessing, diagnosing and managing patients using evidence based practice and current clinical guidelines.
- Prescribing and reviewing medications and treatment plans.
- Promoting health education, disease prevention and self management.
- Maintaining accurate and records using SystmOne.
- Working collaboratively with our wider multidisciplinary team, including our Clinical Pharmacist, Paramedic, Practice Nursing team and PCN colleagues.
- Supporting the delivery of QOF and enhanced services.
- Contributing to the ongoing development of services and the continued success of the practice.

Our experienced and supportive multidisciplinary team comprises:
- Two GP Partners and one Salaried GP
- Clinical Pharmacist
- Paramedic
- Practice Nurses, including clinicians with specialist interests in Asthma, COPD and Diabetes
- Through our Primary Care Network, we also work closely with First Contact Physiotherapists, Social Prescribers and Health and Wellbeing Coaches, ensuring patients are seen by the most appropriate healthcare professional.
- GMS practice using the SystmOne clinical system
- Established Total Triage model, supporting safe and effective workload management
- High QOF achievement and delivery of a broad range of enhanced services
- Dispensing practice serving approximately 95% of our patient population
- In house Minor Surgery and LARC clinics
- Rated 'Good' by the CQC
- Active involvement with our ICB, Primary Care Network, Patient Participation Group and the wider community
- Provide comprehensive medical services to patients presenting with acute and chronic conditions.
- Assess, diagnose and manage patients in accordance with current evidence based practice and national guidelines.
- Undertake telephone and face to face consultations as clinically appropriate.
- Prescribe and review medication safely and effectively.
- Promote health education, disease prevention and patient self management.
- Refer patients appropriately to secondary care and community services.
- Maintain accurate and complete clinical records using SystmOne.
- Process laboratory results, correspondence and clinical documents in a timely manner.
- Undertake home visits where clinically appropriate.
- Participate in safeguarding processes for children and vulnerable adults.
- Maintain full registration and licence to practise with the General Medical Council.
- Work within the standards of Good Medical Practice.
- Maintain mandatory and statutory training requirements.
- Participate in annual appraisal and continuing professional development.
- Maintain revalidation requirements.
- Participate in clinical governance activities, including significant event analysis and quality improvement initiatives.

- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
- Full GMC registration with licence to practise
- Completion of GP Specialty Training (CCT) or equivalent
- Included on the NHS England Medical Performers List
- Evidence of continuing professional development and participation in appraisal and revalidation
- MRCGP
- Additional qualifications relevant to General Practice
- Training or accreditation in Women's Health
- Experience of working in Primary Care or General Practice.
- Experience of managing a broad range of acute and chronic conditions.
