An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic GP to join our well-established, forward thinking, friendly practice. We are proud to deliver a compassionate and high quality service to our 7000 patients in the Bishopbriggs area of Glasgow. We serve a diverse and growing community and are supported by a great multi-disciplinary team including experienced GP Partners, Practice Nurses, Pharmacists, Physiotherapists and a dedicated management and administrative team.

We believe in a healthy work/life balance and one of our main objectives in the practice is mutual support. We meet daily for coffee and lunch, and have regular educational meetings to foster collaborative working. As a training practice, we have GPSTs placed with us at various points throughout the year, as well as medical students from the University of Glasgow.

Auchinairn Medical Practice is based within a purpose-built surgery with great parking and excellent transport links. We operate using EMIS and Docman systems, offering a variety of 15 minute consultations in the form of face to face or telephone appointments. Our appointment template is structured in line with BMA recommendations for safe working, and no additional appointments are added. Our administrative team offer support through Workflow Optimisation which aides in the reduction of administrative work for you.

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive Primary Care services, including:

• Managing acute and chronic conditions
• Prescribing and reviewing medications
• Health promotion and disease prevention
• Maintaining accurate clinical records

Key Requirements

• Fully qualified GP with GMC registration and licence to practise
• Inclusion on the NHS Performers List
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and commitment to high standards of care
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
