Salaried GP

Overview

St Augustine's Medical Practice, Keynsham and Saltford. 3 session GP post; ideally all-day Monday and Wednesday.
Salaried GP: 3 sessions.
Days of work: Monday and Wednesdays.
Sessional Rate: £11,442 plus indemnity.
Start date: June 2026.

Location

We are based in Block C of The Chocolate Factory, Keynsham in a large, purpose built surgery adjacent to a local café, care home and sporting facilities. We also have sites in Saltford and St Clements road, Keynsham which are cross covered by all staff.

About the Practice

St Augustine's Surgery is a friendly, well organised, teaching practice with 20,000 patients. We have 5 partners, 13 salaried GPs, 4 GP trainees, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, pharmacists, first contacts physios and paramedics within our PCN (Keynsham).

Responsibilities

• Provide general practice care for 3 sessions per week, including pro rata share of extended hours surgery.
• Deliver a traditional doctor patient relationship with continuity of care, fair share of admin support.
• Participate in teaching, training, triage sessions and nursing home ward rounds.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team, including Early Home Visiting service, prescription and medication team, and workflow/admin support.
• Develop additional skills and contribute to practice development.
