Overview

Waverley Medical Centre, Dalrymple Street, Stranraer DG9 7DW

We are seeking to recruit a Salaried GP to work in a very friendly practice of 12,000 patients. This vacancy is for a full-time/part-time position (negotiable).

Practice environment

We are located in a modern purpose built medical centre with excellent facilities. Stranraer is a beautiful coastal town and is a superb location for all outdoor activities. Stranraer is only 6 miles from the local ferry port to Ireland.

Team and services

Our team consists of 2 GP Partners, 3 Salaried GPs, Locum GPs when required, highly skilled Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Specialist Physiotherapist, Nurse Practitioners, Practice Nurses and a Health Care Assistant. We have a Pharmacy Support Team, Paramedic Support, MSK Service, and a Mental Health Liaison Nurse attached to the practice. We have no Out of Hours responsibility, but local opportunities exist.

Systems and support

We have an experienced and supportive reception team, using EMIS PCS and DOCMAN IT systems.

Salary

Salary: £12.5k per session, dependant on experience.
