Main duties of the jobDuty doctor on a rotational basis.
Weekly supportive clinical meetings.
Minimal administration established document flow protocol, admin buddy system for absence.
Limited number of visits, all of which replace appointments within regular sessions.

Job responsibilitiesKey Responsibilities - Clinical Duties:
- Provide high-quality medical care to the practice population in line with primary care contracts.
- Manage long-term conditions, acute presentations, and preventative healthcare services.
- Prescribe medication in accordance with national and local guidelines.
- Undertake telephone triage and duty doctor roles on a rotational basis.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records.
- Process referrals, prescription requests, and other administrative tasks in a timely manner.
- Adhere to best practices, clinical guidelines, and audit recommendations.
Practice & Team Contributions:
- Work collaboratively with the wider practice team, sharing workload fairly.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuous professional development.
- Take responsibility for specific areas of practice performance, including QOF.
- Contribute to practice meetings, clinical governance, and training.
- Support the training and supervision of medical students.
- Assist in achieving the strategic goals of the practice, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with appraisals, revalidation, and professional development requirements.
- Promote a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Participate in practice audits and local service initiatives.
- Contribute to the review and analysis of significant and near-miss events.
- Full GMC registration, inclusion on the NHS England Performers List, and eligibility to work in the UK.
- Experience in primary care, knowledge of QOF, and a commitment to continuous professional development.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975, and as such, it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
