Marston Forest Healthcare is a vibrant and successful practice in Bedfordshire with a clinical team including Nurses, HCAs, Pharmacists, MH link worker, & other members of staff.

We are offering a superb opportunity to join a well established, innovative practice and we have a vacancy for a Salaried GP, working 3 sessions per week. The surgery has a great reputation for its patient care and aims to provide a supportive environment for the development of all of their GPs. There is a strong sense of team within the practice and they all work together and participate in team activities together making this truly enjoyable place to work.

Main duties of the job

The ideal candidate will be a General Practitioner registered with the GMC and on the NHS Performers list. Experience within a Primary Care setting would be ideal but not essential. The candidate should be confident in completing face to face consultations, telephone consultations, home visits and on call duties, demonstrating clear and effective communication to support colleagues in delivering an outstanding patient experience. Evidence of delivering a high level of care to patients will be vital in supporting the business in achieving its objectives.

About us

We have recently refurbished the Practice at our Marston Moretaine site, increasing our clinical room capacity and administration offices. This will enable us to become a GP Training Practice and broaden the services we offer.

We carefully manage the workload of our GPs to ensure they work in a safe and caring environment, supported by an MDT approach model of working.

We are a tier 2 registered organisation, so welcome applications from individuals that require a Tier 2 visa.

Job responsibilities

The job description and expectations can be discussed in depth at the interview. The tasks essentially mirror the main duties of the job including face to face consultations, telephone consultations, home visits, on call duties and supporting colleagues. Evidence of high level patient care is essential.

Person Specification Qualifications

• Registered with the GMC
• On the NHS Performers List
• Able to work autonomously as a GP
• Able to work with a team of likeminded professionals
