Salaried General Practitioner in Wandsworth - SW London

Overview

The Junction Health Centre is excited to offer a new opportunity for a GP, either newly qualified or experienced, to cover 8am-8pm on Fridays in a friendly, well-established NHS practice with 8,300 registered patients.

There is a strong emphasis on teamwork and high-quality patient care, with routine appointments of 15 minutes. This is a family-friendly practice with an Access Hub service and offers a range of primary care services including immunisations, women's health, health promotion and screening. The Practice is an active member of the Primary Care Network (PCN).

Job summary

The GP will work closely with the management team to deliver a safe and efficient service within a supportive environment. The PCN has recruited staff through the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme, including physiotherapists, pharmacists, paramedics, physician associates, social prescribers and an associate psychologist, which has improved patient access.

Main duties / Responsibilities

What you will do:

• Provide general practice clinical care for a broad patient population within a 15-minute consultation framework.
• Manage acute and chronic presentations for adults and paediatric patients with high standards of care.
• Collaborate with the clinical team and participate in quality improvement and service development initiatives.

What you will need

• GMC registration and inclusion on the GP Performers List with a valid CCT.
• Experience in confidently managing acute and chronic presentations for both adults and paediatric patients.
• Excellent listening and communication skills, with experience in urgent care assessment and good IT/keyboard skills.
