An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Salaried GP to work as part of a friendly, supportive and dedicated team based in Scunthorpe. The surgery offers flexible working conditions and excellent support for development of special interests.

This is a great opportunity to work in a well- established 4 Partner practice enjoying an excellent reputation in the local area and priding itself on providing high quality patient centred care.

Scunthorpe is an area surrounded by countryside with good schools and excellent transport links.

Main duties of the job

The postholder will be an enthusiastic and committed General Practitioner who is able to adapt to new ways of working including telephone/video consultations and clinical assessment/triage. We are a busy practice and as such it will be necessary for you to be able to manage your time effectively.

We are looking to appoint someone who genuinely enjoys working as part of the team - supporting colleagues to ensure we achieve the common goal of providing a quality service.

Manageable workload with well-structured sessions

Holiday: 6 weeks holiday plus 1 week study leave pro rata

Patient list size of 10,900 and continuing to increase

Excellent clinical support including Prescribing Nurse Practitioners, Advanced Clinical Practitioner and highly skilled nursing and healthcare assistant team.

Supported by Clinical Pharmacist and First Contact Physio.

Job responsibilities

The post-holder will provide general medical services managing a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.

Person Specification Qualifications

• Fully qualified GP, eligible to practice in the UK with GMC registration & on the Medical Performers List.

Experience

• Ability to work independently and support the wider practice team
• At least one year of working as an independent GP

Knowledge and Skills

• Willing to take a proactive approach and contribute to the continuing success of the practice
• Passion for high quality patient care
