Job Description

2 Partner Practice (Dr PP Shah and Dr S Dubb)

Training practice for GP Registrars and medical students.

Salary: Competitive salary depending on experience and skills

Main duties of the job

Appointments face-to-face and telephone consultations with patients. Undertake Duty GP role and triage patients. Carry out administration of workflow documents and test results.

2 GP Partners; 1 ANP; 2 nurses; 1 HCSW; and 3 salaried GPs.

1 Practice Manager and an admin team of 10 staff.

CONTRACT: Permanent

LOCATION: Hanford

KEY TASKS: To facilitate access to primary care services by providing GMS services on a sessional basis within the practices at Hanford

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide the full range of GMS services on a sessional basis at Hanford.
  • Work as a team member with all relevant providers of primary and community care services within the practice areas including ICB, practice staff, PCN, and other statutory and voluntary organizations.
  • Support the practice in the success of QOF/QIF achievements, Universal Offers, and those in relation with the PCN such as Capacity and Access.
  • Ensure that appropriate records are maintained at all times regarding patient/care services and that colleagues are kept fully informed regarding patients seen with their practices.
  • Maintain expertise in GMS services and provide a high standard of care.
  • Actively participate in local clinical governance processes and demonstrate a commitment to personal development and education.
  • Fulfil any monitoring requirements attached to the post as required.
  • Develop and maintain clinical skills and abilities through CPD and participate in the PCT appraisal system to identify further education, training, and development needs.
  • Provide emergency locum cover in exceptional circumstances in cases of unforeseen events at the request of the practice.
  • Work in accordance with the practice policies and procedures.

Person Specification Qualifications
  • VTS Trained
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
