Safeguarding Recovery Practitioner

Job Summary

We are looking for a Recovery Practitioner specialising in Safeguarding for our Cheltenham Service. This role will manage a caseload of safeguarding clients, provide information relevant to treatment, and offer a range of interventions such as harm reduction, brief interventions and assessment. The position requires active coordination in a multi agency approach, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and adherence to Via policies and safeguarding principles.

The ideal candidate will be a compassionate, good listener with strong communication skills who can stay calm under pressure and is curious about making a difference.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of safeguarding clients.
• Provide information relevant to treatment for clients and stakeholders.
• Deliver interventions such as harm reduction, brief interventions and assessment where required.
• Coordinate and participate in a multi agency approach, liaising with partner agencies and safeguarding professionals.
• Collaborate with colleagues and key stakeholders across multidisciplinary teams, ensuring adherence to Via policies and safeguarding principles.
• Prescribe and provide a good quality of interventions at varying stages of recovery.
• Develop and deliver a wide range of groups.
• Support other areas of service delivery and take part in special interests and activities, including smoking cessation and local events.

Qualifications & Experience

In-depth knowledge and experience of challenges affecting people with substance use and related health and wellbeing issues; compassionate, good communication skills; ability to stay calm under pressure; excellent listening skills; curiosity; desire to make a difference.
