Job Description

Our client is a well-established rural surveying and estate management practice serving landowners and the farming community across the region. They're seeking an experienced Rural Surveyor to join their team and build a strong client base whilst contributing to the practice's continued growth.

Position Overview

You'll provide expert advice on rural property valuations, estate management, and land transactions. Your work will directly support landowners and farmers, helping them navigate planning, commercial development, and grant schemes whilst managing compensation and compulsory purchase claims.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct rural property valuations and estate management assessments
  • Advise on land promotion and commercial development opportunities
  • Support clients with planning applications and rural property transactions
  • Manage compensation and compulsory purchase claim cases
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local farming clients
  • Provide guidance on grant and subsidy scheme eligibility

Requirements

  • MRICS qualification (essential)
  • FAAV qualification (preferred)
  • 2-3 years post-qualification experience in rural surveying
  • Strong knowledge of agricultural legislation and rural planning
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Proficiency in IT systems and software
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel
