Rural Chartered Surveyor - Estate Management & Valuations

Our client, a well-established chartered surveying practice with a strong presence across residential, agricultural and commercial property sectors, is seeking an MRICS qualified Rural Chartered Surveyor to join their growing team in Shrewsbury. Position Overview

You'll play a key role in delivering comprehensive rural property services to private clients, managing estate matters, agricultural tenancies, valuations and planning work. This varied position offers the chance to work across multiple disciplines within rural surveying, contributing directly to the practice's continued growth and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Manage estate and agricultural property matters for private clients
• Sell and let rural properties across the region
• Undertake rural property valuations and appraisals
• Advise on planning and development opportunities
• Handle compensation and compulsory purchase work for landowners
• Build and maintain strong client relationships

Requirements

• MRICS or AssocRICS qualified
• Sound knowledge of estate management and agricultural tenancies
• Experience in rural property valuations
• Strong interpersonal and client relationship skills
• Excellent attention to detail and time management
• Proficient IT skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• RICS Registered Valuer status (desirable but not essential)
