Job Description: You will lead the technical evolution of a high-traffic job board application, focusing on migrating to Rails 7 and optimizing search performance. This role is essential for refactoring legacy components into modern service objects while implementing robust features for payment processing and user management within a fast-paced, scale-up environment.

What you will do:
  • Maintain and enhance a Rails 6.1 application while executing a strategic migration to Rails 7.x.

  • Optimize database queries and background processing using PostgreSQL and GoodJob to eliminate performance bottlenecks.
The ideal candidate:
  • 5+ years of professional Ruby on Rails experience with deep proficiency in Ruby 3.x and modern Rails 6/7 patterns.
  • Extensive experience with front-end technologies like Hotwire, Stimulus.js, and responsive web design using Bootstrap.
  • Proven track record in refactoring legacy codebases, optimizing database performance, and achieving high test coverage standards.
