RQ (JS) - Community Engagement Officer

Purpose of the Role:

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Community Engagement Officer to join our Strategic Communications Team. This role focuses on supporting the Food Waste Implementation Project and driving engagement across Rugby's communities.

You will be responsible for creating and attending engagement events, ensuring accessibility for all groups, and working closely with internal teams and external partners to promote effective communication on waste and recycling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and attend community engagement events promoting the Food Waste Project.
• Collaborate with the Communications Team to create a variety of online and offline engagement resources.
• Ensure accessibility of engagement efforts for seldom heard communities.
• Gather community feedback to help overcome barriers to project uptake.
• Write content, press releases, and articles, and support public relations efforts.
