Nursery Room Leader - Southampton (Portswood)

A well established, not for profit nursery in Southampton (Portswood) is seeking an experienced and passionate Nursery Room Leader to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a values driven setting that prioritises both children's development and staff wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a room, ensuring high standards of care and education
• Plan and deliver engaging activities in line with EYFS
• Support, mentor, and develop team members
• Build strong relationships with parents and carers
• Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies are upheld

Requirements:

• Level 3 qualification in Early Years (essential)
• Previous experience in a senior or Room Leader role
• Strong understanding of EYFS and safeguarding
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills

Package:

• £14.80 per hour (40 hours per week)
• Salary negotiable for the right candidate
• Nursery operating hours: 8:00am - 6:00pm
