Nursery - Elsie Inglis Salary- From £29,536 per annum (dependant on qualification/s and experience) 12 month Maternity cover position Location-Edinburgh. Nestled in the heart of historic Edinburgh, just a stone's throw from Holyrood Palace, Elsie Inglis Nursery offers a unique and inspiring environment for both children and educators alike. We're a charming, single-story nursery with space for up to 65 children, housed in a repurposed former maternity hospital. - Lead, mentor and inspire a team to deliver exceptional care and education
- Ensure the learning environment provides consistent stimulation and engaging activities for the children, across both the indoor and outdoor areas
- Deliver and plan rich learning opportunities and exceptional care, to help all children to develop and meet their individual milestones
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with colleagues, parents and/or carers, as well as other professionals, to meet the individual needs of each child
- Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding procedures and policies are followed at all times
- Work with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy and safe environment on a day to day basis
- Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
- Passion for creating fun and inclusive learning environments
- Strong understanding of the Scottish Curriculum frameworks
- Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection
- Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with both colleagues and parents/ carer.
