The Role

Reporting to the General Manager, the Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations on the production floor, ensuring efficient production processes, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety. This position plays a key role in coordinating with various departments to meet production goals and supports the team in achieving operational excellence in the manufacturing of roof trusses.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the day-to-day activities of the production floor to ensure operations align with scheduled timelines and quality standards.
• Monitor production metrics and implement necessary process improvements for increased efficiency and reduced downtime.
• Collaborate with the General Manager and other departments for production planning and resource allocation.
• Enforce safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe and compliant working environment.
• Lead, mentor, and develop production staff, providing training and performance evaluations.
• Address any operational issues promptly to minimize disruptions in the production process.
• Coordinate maintenance and repair activities to ensure all equipment is operational.

The Person

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, preferably in roof truss production.
• Ability to analyse production data to drive performance improvements.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards within the manufacturing industry.
• Proven experience (3-5 years) in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in roof truss manufacturing or related field is preferred.
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
