Risk Reporting Data Strategy - Vice President

Risk Reporting Data Strategy is responsible for requirements gathering and supporting the design and optimization of data structures that support the firm's risk management objectives. This role partners closely with Risk Management, Product, Technology, Chief Data Office and Risk Reporting stakeholders to validate that risk data is accurately captured, transformed, and presented in a manner that enables effective risk analysis, regulatory compliance, and strategic decision making.
Job Responsibilities- Collaborate with Risk Reporting teams to understand reporting requirements, identify atomic data elements, transformations, and aggregations, and translate them into requirements.
- Partner with a Technology Information Architect to review and maintain robust data models for risk reporting, ensuring scalability, accuracy, consistency, and alignment with Risk Reporting and Data Strategy requirements.
- Support the integration of risk data from multiple sources to a cloud based architecture with AI capabilities to enable accessibility for reporting and analytics.
- Review data quality controls, validation processes, and governance frameworks, adapting to revised data sourcing patterns to maintain the integrity, accuracy, and security of risk data.
- Support functional reporting teams as they develop reporting on target state platforms, including dashboards and visualizations.
- Partner with Technology Architects, Data Engineers, and Reporting Analysts to align and optimize data structures and outputs with enterprise standards and best practices, including testing data models against reporting toolsets to validate compatibility and performance.
- Continue to enhance the BCBS 239 (Risk Data Aggregation and Reporting) framework to maintain compliance with regulatory expectations.
- Experience in data requirements gathering.
- Experience in SQL and Python.
- Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Databricks.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with data governance, data quality frameworks.
- Ability to work collaboratively across business and technology teams.
