Job Description

We have an excellent opportunity to join as a Risk Manager in our fast-growing Risk team within our management services business unit. The main responsibilities include assisting the Head of Risk in safeguarding the Miller Group, its clients, reputation, assets, and stakeholder interests by identifying and managing threats to business objectives.

Role Responsibilities

  1. Support the Head of Risk in delivering the Risk Management Plan.
  2. Manage and maintain the risk management framework and processes, including:
    • Identifying and assessing risks and controls affecting the business.
    • Overseeing and supporting the Risk and Control Self-Assessment process for group entities through engagement with stakeholders.
    • Conducting risk assessments with business units and overseas entities, including workshops.
    • Ensuring governance and oversight processes are embedded and operational.
  3. Collaborate with 1st Line business areas to embed a consistent risk management approach.
  4. Assist in producing regular risk reports for local and group committees.
  5. Support the management of the risk appetite framework.
  6. Help manage risk events, including root-cause analysis and control mitigation.
  7. Contribute to risk assurance activities by working with stakeholders to strengthen controls.
  8. Identify training needs and deliver training for stakeholders across the Group.

Qualifications

Institute of Risk Management certification preferred; auditor or accountancy qualifications are a plus but not essential.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Experience in risk management, ideally within insurance (London market) or other financial services.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proven experience managing multiple stakeholders.
