Job Description
Key Responsibilities 
- Serve as a dedicated Risk Business Partner, supporting first line management in embedding the Group's risk management framework.
- Monitor and report on business areas' adherence to risk appetite, ensuring timely escalation and resolution of issues.
- Champion a strong risk culture through regular engagement with stakeholders across the organisation.
- Conduct targeted risk assessments in collaboration with business units, developing a deep understanding of their risk profiles and processes.
- Facilitate and enhance the Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process, including leading workshops and meetings.
- Ensure risks and issues are appropriately identified, managed, and escalated.
- Review new business initiatives, acting as a project liaison to ensure risks are assessed and managed effectively.
- Support the development and delivery of risk training and awareness initiatives.
- Attend and contribute to the Enterprise Risk Committee and other governance forums.
- Assist in the management and enhancement of the Risk Reporting and Analysis tool, and support the production of risk MI.
- Respond to requests from regulators, auditors, and senior stakeholders.
- Monitor compliance with Group policies, including those related to Operational Risk, Market Exposure, Data Protection, and Outsourcing.
- Contribute to the ICARA and Liquidity Management Framework, including scenario and stress testing workshops.
- Support the planning and delivery of ICARA processes, including stress testing and wind-down planning.
- Assist in preparing risk-related sections of regulatory reports.
- Coordinate daily counterparty exposure reporting, mark-to-market calculations, and support the Market Exposure Committee (MEC).
- Degree-level education (or equivalent).
- Proven experience in risk management, with the ability to advise on risk mitigation strategies.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working on risk and control matters.
- Experience in financial or professional services (preferred).
- Working knowledge of UK wealth management regulations (preferred).
- Relevant postgraduate or professional qualifications (preferred).
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Deep understanding of risk management principles, tools, and techniques.
- Familiarity with prudential regulations and ICARA processes (desirable).
- Experience in conducting risk reviews and assessing control environments.
- Technologically proficient, with experience using risk systems and Microsoft Office tools.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective time management and initiative.
- Comfortable presenting to senior audiences, including Executive and Board levels.
