Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our Safety, Health and Wellbeing team. You'll be working in a fast-paced and exciting role as we monitor operations and processes to ensure our standards are met. This would be ideal for a motivated and passionate individual who has a strong risk and assurance mindset and enjoys taking on new challenges and opportunities.


Day to day, you will:
  • Carry out both desktop and site-based risk and assurance reports, understanding the framework and embedding all elements associated with risk management.
  • Develop risk controls to ensure quality operations and address issues within the HS&W framework.
  • Ensure RCSA framework is embedded across P&P and business units, prioritising testing and oversight.
  • Set a tone of operational rigour within the team, ensuring outputs are suitable for GEC and Board review.
What you'll need:
  • Specialist knowledge relevant to Operational Risk Management and frameworks to drive risk strategy.
  • Ability to risk assess, mitigate, implement controls, and monitor emerging risks, using continuous risk management and governance mechanisms including RCS.
  • Knowledge of Building Assurance Frameworks, assurance activities, and experience in creating and implementing frameworks to validate policy effectiveness.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, ability to influence, and build relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, with ability to analyse key themes from various sources.
  • Leadership qualities, including providing coaching to junior colleagues and strategic planning.
