RGN required for agency line of work in a Care of the older persons facility based in Co Wicklow.

• Grade required RGN
• Cover required from 01/08/24 - 01/01/25 (covering maternity leave)
• Care of the older persons service (over 65s)
• 18 bedded nursing unit
• 37.5 hours available per week
• 5/7 days available
• Potential candidate will be based onsite in WCU.
• The unit comes under older person services (Over 65's) catering to short-term respite clients from the community & rehab clients from the acute sector.

The nurse will be required to carry out the below (but not limited to):

• Report to the ADPHN or senior nurse on duty
• Provide holistic care to the clients on site
• Pre-Admission assessments, Plan & implement Admissions & Discharges
• Medication reconciliation & administration
• Maintain documentation
• Ensure confidentiality
• Comply with NMBI & HIQA regulations
• Accompany on GP rounds
• Delegate tasks to HCA's, MTA's
• Risk assessment & escalation as appropriate
• Incident management & escalation as appropriate
• During day time there will be a second nurse. Evening & Night shifts there will be one nurse supported by HCA/MTA.
