We are currently recruiting for a Cleaning Operative to join our team at Lagan Valley Island, Lisburn. This is a great opportunity to join a world leading facilities management company.

Working Pattern

• 11.25 hours per week
• Monday to Friday
• 5:00 pm - 7:15 pm
• Free on site car parking

The Role

• Ensure all areas are cleaned efficiently and in a timely manner to the required standards, including weekly and periodic tasks.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely as detailed by the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health guidelines (COSHH).
• Maintain full working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials and agents and use them as directed by the line manager after appropriate training.
• Report immediately any faulty equipment, mark it as faulty and discontinue use.
• Ensure safety signage is used appropriately at all times, e.g. wet floor signs and warning customers where possible.
• Keep cleaning stores clean and tidy and store equipment correctly and safely at all times.
• Be knowledgeable about biological hazards; work may involve cleaning bodily fluids such as blood, faeces or vomit that can carry infectious diseases including hepatitis or HIV.
• Comply with all security regulations for cleaning materials, equipment and buildings as laid down by client and Mount Charles.

• Basic statutory training for the role requires basic reading, writing, speaking and listening skills to understand safety and work instructions and communicate with customers on a day to day basis.
