Job Title: Revenue Cycle Performance Associate
Location: Hybrid - Belfast, Maine OR Boston, MA
As an Associate on the A/R Follow-Up Service Integrity Team, you will leverage athena's connected data fabric to illuminate KPI performance, lead improvement projects, and influence stakeholders-so that practices are reimbursed faster and patients experience fewer billing surprises.
Key Responsibilities- Proactively investigate Tableau and Sigma dashboards to spot emerging trends in cycle rates, inflow, days in A/R, and A/R in billed status, triggering timely action and stakeholder engagement.
 - Analyze trends, identify root causes, and craft data-driven action plans that lift KPI performance; track impact through iterative measurement.
 - Lead continuous-improvement projects end-to-end-scoping, execution, and retrospective-while aligning with athenahealth-wide and departmental goals.
 - Present insights and progress to senior leadership and cross-functional partners through crisp, data-driven storytelling.
 - Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and represent the A/R Follow-Up perspective in project forums, ensuring requirements are embedded in shared solutions.
 
- 2-4 years' experience in healthcare revenue-cycle operations with a record of driving measurable improvements.
 - Advanced proficiency in Tableau, Sigma, Excel, and PowerPoint; working knowledge of SQL preferred.
 - Familiarity with Agile frameworks and tools (Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, SharePoint).
 - Strong project-management skills; able to juggle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and communicate risks early.
 - Ability to influence diverse, geographically distributed teams through data-driven storytelling and constructive challenge.

Expected Compensation$50,000 - $86,000
The base salary range shown reflects the full range for this role from minimum to maximum. At athenahealth, base pay depends on multiple factors, including job-related experience, relevant knowledge and skills, how your qualifications compare to others in similar roles, and geographical market rates. Base pay is only one part of our competitive Total Rewards package - depending on role eligibility, we offer both short and long-term incentives by way of an annual discretionary bonus plan, variable compensation plan, and equity plans.
