Apply today!# Job Details Job Title: Returns Operative Location: Derby Salary: £13.54 per hour Shift Pattern: 40 hours per week, rotating shifts 06:00 - 14:00 and 12:00 - 20:00OverviewWe are seeking a Returns Operative to join a busy warehouse operation in Derby. This role is responsible for accurately checking, processing, and handling returned stock while ensuring full compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards. You will play a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, processing returned products, and ensuring stock is safely transferred to the correct warehouse locations.Key Responsibilities Inspect and verify returned stock against return documentation for accuracy and quality. Process returns in line with company procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Complete all receiving paperwork and inventory documentation accurately. Tag, transfer, and move returned stock to designated warehouse locations. Load and unload transfer trailers as required. Undertake returns-related FMD activities in accordance with procedures. Maintain accurate records and update operational systems where required. Identify and report stock discrepancies, damages, or operational abnormalities to the Returns Supervisor. Complete weekly validation checks and support inventory accuracy initiatives. Maintain high standards of housekeeping throughout the returns area. Support continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse operations. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies, MHRA, GDP, and GMP standards. Operate warehouse equipment only where appropriate training has been completed. Carry out additional duties and reasonable requests as directed by management What You'll Be DoingAs a Returns Operative, you'll play a key role in ensuring returned products are processed accurately and efficiently. You'll help maintain stock integrity, support warehouse operations, and contribute to a safe and compliant working environment.Requirements Previous warehouse, logistics, distribution, or inventory experience. Understanding of warehouse processes and stock handling procedures. Good attention to detail and accuracy. Basic PC and numerical skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and teamwork skills.Desirable Experience within a regulated warehouse, pharmaceutical, or healthcare environment. Knowledge of GDP, GMP, or MHRA standards. CSCP qualification or equivalent.Skills & Competencies Strong organisational skills. Good communication skills. Attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
