Sanctuary Personnel is seeking a Retirement Housing Advisor to join a dynamic neighbourhood housing team in Lewes. This is a fulfilling opportunity for someone passionate about supporting older residents and delivering high-quality housing services within retirement housing schemes.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with statutory landlord and health & safety requirements within neighbourhood housing.

Offer expert advice on retirement housing to tenants and members of the public.

Respond promptly to urgent queries and resolve housing-related issues.

Maintain accurate tenant records and ensure GDPR-compliant data management.

Assist in the development of internal guidance tools and knowledge resources.

Process financial transactions in accordance with council procedures.

Use social media channels to promote services and drive community engagement.

Provide flexible service delivery across multiple housing locations.

Requirements:

GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.

Experience in housing or customer service, especially with older or vulnerable adults.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and general IT systems.

Understanding of safeguarding, professional boundaries, and equality legislation.

Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle insured for business use.

Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check and work flexibly when required.

Previous experience in social or retirement housing.

Working knowledge of tenancy management, health and safety, and support services for older adults.

Awareness of the benefits system, adult social care services, and the Mental Health Act.
