This busy family is looking for an experienced and engaging Retainer Nanny with SEN experience, with a mature approach, to work on a retainer basis caring for three children ages 11, 9 & 5.

Overview

The Retainer Nanny will work in a fully staffed household, primarily caring for the children. Responsibilities include maintaining schedules and routines, organising activities, overseeing homework, administrative duties, nursery duties, and providing consistent care across school and vacation periods. The role also requires occasional travel to Europe and internationally during school holidays.

The Nanny should be highly organised, strong communicator, and collaborative, able to work independently and as part of a nanny team and other household staff. Autonomy in the role is significant, so confidence in working on own initiative is essential. Experience in a rota/retainer position is advantageous, and familiarity with SEN (particularly ASC and ADHD) is desirable.

Duties

• Maintain schedules and routines for the children
• Organise age appropriate activities
• Oversee homework and academic support
• Handle administrative tasks and planning for evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Participate in nursery duties as needed
• Provide sickness and holiday cover for the household Rota Nannies

Key criteria

• Experience in a rota or retainer role is advantageous
• SEN experience desirable, especially with ASC and ADHD
• Neutral spoken English (due to the child's additional needs)
