Retail Sunday Assistant (Southampton (Shirley) shop)

Position

Retail store assistant (with keyholder responsibility)

Responsibilities

• Oversee the running of the shop on a Sunday, including taking keyholder responsibility and supporting a diverse volunteer team.
• Assist the wider shop team in reaching sales and fundraising targets.
• Review and process donated goods and new stock.
• Develop creative ideas to generate new income under guidance of the Shop Manager.
• Deliver excellent customer service to ensure customers and supporters feel welcome and appreciated.
• Maintain shop standards regarding safeguarding, compliance and health and safety.
• Perform manual handling and physical activity as required.

Qualifications

A working knowledge of great customer service.

Experience working in a lively and vibrant environment.

Adaptability in changing situations, working independently and as part of a team.

Commercial awareness.

Strong relationship building and communication skills.

Flexibility to work on a rota basis.
