Job Description

Retail Store Manager - Salary: £26,789 to £31,385 per annum plus benefits.

Responsibilities
  • Guide, inspire and engage a team of paid staff and volunteers, including recruitment, retention and development.
  • Take ownership of the commercial running of the store - display and merchandising, stock management, shop standards, layout, sales and income.
  • Lead by example and provide excellent customer and supporter service.
  • Maximise profit through effective cost control and sales.
  • Create relationships with the local community and Cancer Research UK colleagues.
  • Organise and run creative fundraising events to meet fundraising targets.
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety, safeguarding, security, administration and HR policies.
  • Perform required manual handling and physical activity as part of day to day duties.
Qualifications
  • Experience managing and inspiring a diverse team.
  • Comfort with working within targets and motivating others to achieve them.
  • Ability to multi task in a lively environment.
  • Good knowledge of what makes great customer service.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • Knowledge of high street fashion retail.
  • Adaptability in changing situations, including effective independent work.
  • A sensitivity to price, value and worth of items.
  • Willingness to work on a rota basis to support business needs.
