Salary €50,000 - €55,000 DOE + Bonus, staff discount.

About the Role

Blue Forge Recruitment is proud to partner with a leading Convenience Supermarket Group. The store is a high performing, fast paced convenience outlet, modern spec, staffed by a dedicated team of up to 25 skilled employees, including a busy deli counter that accounts for almost 50% of trade. With emphasis on fresh food and customer service, the store is a vibrant part of the local lunch trade. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Retail Manager or Assistant Manager from a larger retail environment who is ready to take the next step and manage their own store.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the site runs efficiently and smoothly.
• Ensure the store reaches maximum profitability, sales and achieves other financial objectives such as controlling waste, shrink, and labour.
• Ensure your team demonstrates excellent standards in merchandising, customer service, and hygiene that reflect well on the group's reputation.
• Manage all HR, H&S related queries, ensuring the retail shop is compliant with all relevant regulations.

Requirements

• Must be a proven and experienced Retail Grocery Manager or Assistant Manager in a similar retail food environment, ready to step up; a proven management background in catering may also be considered if the structure is similar.
• Excellent organisational and leadership skills; must be able to lead and motivate teams, including deli chargehands, Assistant Managers, supervisors and other senior staff.
• Commercially astute, looking for opportunities to increase revenue by understanding the retail landscape, managing costs effectively and using supplier networks to advantage.
• Working knowledge of Labour Law, Health & Safety regulations, HACCP and Consumer Law.
