Retail Store Assistant (Shop Assistant)

Permanent part time (7.5 hours per week) - Plymouth shop (Cornwall St). Salary: £12.71 per hour plus benefits.

Overview

You will act as an ambassador for Cancer Research UK, providing excellent customer service, achieving sales and fundraising targets while maintaining shop standards and fostering community relationships.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer and supporter service.
• Work as an integral part of the shop team to achieve ambitious sales and fundraising targets.
• Assist with maintaining shop standards, visual presentation, safeguarding compliance and health and safety.
• Create and nurture relationships with the local community and Cancer Research UK colleagues.
• Support fundraising events to achieve store fundraising targets.
• Take keyholder responsibility as required (training provided).
• Perform manual handling and physical activity as part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• Understanding of what makes great customer service.
• Experience working in a busy customer service environment.
• Ability to manage own workload and work independently when required.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Flexibility on a rota basis to meet business needs.

Working Conditions

Varied manual handling and physical activity. Keyholder duties may be required. Physical presence at the Plymouth shop at designated hours.
