Retail Merchandiser

Do you have what it takes to create eye catching displays that draw shoppers in? If so, we need a Retail Merchandiser based in Asda Skelmersdale WN8 6LU. You will be an integral part of a field based retail merchandising team supporting exciting household name brands. Although you will be based in one area, you will have opportunities to work across a variety of stores.

About the role

This role works across a variety of categories including books, games and gift cards.

Confirmed working days / hours: 7 hours per week.
Monday (flexible start)
Tuesday (flexible start)

Plus ad hoc work as agreed.

How you'll deliver excellence

• Compliance and standards - know and stick to merchandising standards and guidelines, store policies and procedures and health and safety guidance.
• Planogram implementation - follow and implement planograms, where provided, to ensure consistency and compliance with merchandising standards.
• Product placement and replenishment - arrange and organise products on shelves and displays to maximise visibility and appeal.
• Promotional and point of sale set up - set up promotional displays and signage to effectively communicate prices, discounts and special offers.
• Strong communication and relationship building - build and maintain good working relationships with in store colleagues, especially department and store managers.
• Feedback - provide accurate and timely feedback to client account teams via the feedback application.

What makes you excellent

• Experience or passion for merchandising, retail and/or customer service.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to take ownership of your own work within set time frames and use initiative to find solutions.
• Take pride in delivering great standards and service for our clients.
• Comfortable with manual handling, moving and arranging products from warehouse to shopfloor.
• Willing to accept home deliveries of POS or stock items for some visits (paid extra).
• Confident using a company tablet to download briefs, take photos and answer questions.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car required.
