Retail Driver

Retail Driver Salary: £14.29 inclusive of holiday pay (£12.75 per hour + £1.54 holiday pay). Location: Merthyr Tydfil. 8 10 hour stock count shifts with driving time paid and bonus.

Access to wages from 3 days after shift completion. Company minibus provided. Immediate start. Holiday pay included.

The company is a leading provider of retail stocktaking, merchandising and supply chain management services with over 3,500 employees across the UK.

The Role

We are looking for a Retail Team Driver to oversee transportation of a small team of stock counters to and from each shift within your region. Work will be carried out on various retail customer sites/ stores with travel varying on a shift by shift basis.

Responsibilities

• Notify your count team of pick up points and timings for each shift.
• Escalate vehicle issues in a timely and efficient manner.
• Complete a team attendance sheet, detailing the stock counters expected on the bus, who attended, and the arrival time of the bus on site.
• Ensure stock is counted quickly and accurately using a handheld scanner while on site.
• Stand for prolonged periods of time; use access equipment as needed to reach high stock.

Key Skills / Experience Required

• Full driving licence.
• Ability to work unsociable hours, including early mornings or night shifts.
• Minimum age 21 years.
• 'Can do' attitude and willingness to work long shifts on large counts.
• Quick learner able to adapt to changing technology.
• Experience handling stock is an advantage but not a necessity.
