Retail Application Expert

Work in close collaboration with business leads across key application domains: B2B, Customer Service, E-commerce, Retail, and Marketing, to ensure that applications fully support business objectives. Ensure smooth release cycles by coordinating planning, testing, implementation, and documentation. Apply structured ways of working (e.g. Agile/Kanban) to manage priorities, track progress, and deliver high-quality releases with minimal business disruption. Troubleshoot and resolve technical application issues, leveraging external expertise when required. Monitor system integrations and data flows to ensure consistency and reliability. Stay informed about trends in commercial technologies and proactively suggest improvements. You hold a Bachelor's degree in IT (or equivalent through relevant experience) and you bring at least 5 years of experience in a similar role (e.g. Application Specialist, Product Owner, or comparable), ideally within a commercial or retail environment. You have a broad understanding of commercial applications, including CRM, E-commerce, Marketing Automation, and POS systems, and how these interact with hardware and integrations. Experience with Salesforce or D365 Commerce is a plus. You combine strong analytical skills with a problem-solving mindset, enabling you to identify issues and drive improvements in complex environments. You understand commercial processes and customer behaviour, and can translate these into reliable technical solutions. You are an excellent communicator, able to collaborate effectively with functional stakeholders (across B2B, Customer Service, E-commerce, POS, and Marketing Automation), IT colleagues, and present clearly to different audiences. You are fluent in Dutch and/or French, with an excellent command of English.
