Retail and Mess Manager

Hours: 37.5 per week (5/7 including some weekends)

Make a real impact every day as our Retail & Mess Manager at RAF Northolt. You'll lead retail outlets, bar and coffee services, and two busy Messes-delivering excellent hospitality, great customer experiences, and top tier operational standards.

What You'll Do

• Lead retail operations, drive sales, manage stock and control costs.
• Oversee Mess hospitality, bar operations, dining services, and event support.
• Manage, train, and motivate a team across retail, bar, and catering.
• Deliver great customer service for members, military personnel, and VIPs.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety, Defence policy, and audit standards.
• Coordinate facilities upkeep, stock ordering, suppliers, and contractor visits.
• Plan and deliver events such as Mess balls, regimental dinners, and VIP receptions.

What We're Looking For

• Experience with stock control, cash handling, and financial processes.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Food safety or H&S qualifications.
• Ability to pass security vetting (3+ years UK residency).
• Military catering/Defence experience (desirable).
• Experience running high profile events (desirable).
