Restructuring Manager (Solvent Liquidations/MVLs)

Responsibilities:
  • Delivering advisory work across closure management, pre-liquidation planning and due diligence, liaising with management and advisors to identify and implement innovative solutions to client challenges
  • Managing a portfolio of MVLs from appointment to closure, ensuring statutory compliance and case progression in line with agreed timetables and budgets
  • Supporting engagement leaders and senior staff, while coaching, developing and mentoring junior team members
  • Leading business development initiatives including thought leadership, opportunity targeting, client proposals and pipeline management, whilst maintaining a professional network
  • Onboarding clients and monitoring developments in legislation, case law and best practice, recommending and implementing process improvements where appropriate
Education and Experience Required:
  • Understanding of the MVL process and relevant insolvency legislation across Scotland, England and Wales, with proven experience preparing entities for closure and managing a portfolio of insolvencies and/or MVLs.
  • Experience collaborating with key stakeholders, with a strong understanding of corporate law, tax implications, accounting principles and operational considerations relating to entity elimination
  • Highly organised self starter with strong time management, able to handle multiple priorities and shifting deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality analysis and reports underpinned by sound financial, commercial and business acumen
  • Committed, proactive and enthusiastic team player, equally effective working independently, with a demonstrated ability to build rapport and deliver excellent client service
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • A university degree, CPI/JIEB qualification and an accountancy qualification (CA/ACA/ACCA) are preferred.
