Sushi Restaurant is seeking a hands on Restaurant Manager to oversee the day to day running of our premium kosher sushi restaurant in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading front of house operations, maintaining high service standards, managing staff during service, handling customer queries and complaints, and ensuring the restaurant runs smoothly on a daily basis.

This is a practical management role suited to someone who is confident in a busy restaurant environment and able to take ownership of daily operations. The role includes opening and closing responsibilities, monitoring service, supporting staff performance, maintaining cleanliness and presentation standards, and working closely with the owner to keep the business operating efficiently. The Restaurant Manager will also be expected to step in when needed to deal with staffing gaps, emergencies, and other operational issues that may arise.

Working pattern is Sunday to Thursday. Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday are 11:00am to 10:00pm, and Monday and Tuesday are 3:00pm to 10:00pm, with a 30 minute unpaid break per shift.

Person Specification
  • We are looking for a reliable, organised and hands on individual with previous restaurant management or strong hospitality supervisory experience. The ideal candidate will be confident leading a team, managing customer interactions professionally, and maintaining calm under pressure in a fast paced service environment.
  • Candidates should have strong communication and customer service skills, good operational awareness, and the ability to take responsibility and show initiative. They should be professional, presentable, and comfortable being actively involved in service rather than managing only from the side.
  • The successful candidate must be an authorised KLBD Shomer, or willing and eligible to obtain KLBD approval. Level 2 Food Hygiene and Safety training is an advantage but not essential.
  • This is a full time position based, offering a salary of £36,000 per annum. Due to the nature of the business, the successful candidate must be comfortable working within a kosher supervised restaurant environment.
  • This role offers the opportunity to take on genuine responsibility within a growing premium restaurant business and to play an important part in shaping the daily success and continued development of the resteraunt.
