We are HiringRespiratory Physiologist for our Hospital client in Dublin.
Job type: Permanent / Full-time
Responsibilities
- Perform a range of respiratory diagnostic tests, including spirometry, lung function testing, bronchial challenge testing, and blood gas analysis.
- Conduct sleep studies and assist in the diagnosis and management of sleep-related breathing disorders.
- Carry out cardiopulmonary exercise testing and assess respiratory function.
- Support the diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of patients with respiratory diseases such as asthma, COPD, and interstitial lung disease.
- Prepare patients for procedures, explain tests, and provide reassurance throughout examinations.
- Analyze, interpret, and accurately document test results for review by respiratory consultants and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ensure all respiratory equipment is calibrated, maintained, and operated according to departmental protocols.
- Adhere to infection prevention, health and safety, and quality assurance standards.
- Participate in clinical audits, service development, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate patient records and comply with data protection and confidentiality requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with consultants, nurses, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Engage in continuing professional development (CPD), training, and education to maintain professional competence.
- Possess a BSc in Clinical Measurement from the Dublin Institute of Technology, or
- Possess a BSc (Hons) in Health Physiology from Ulster University, or
- Hold a Certificate in Medical Physics and Psychological Measurement (MPPM) from the Dublin Institute of Technology, or
- Hold an equivalent Level 8 scientific qualification recognized by the Irish Institute of Clinical Measurement Science (IICMS).
- Demonstrate the clinical, managerial, and administrative competence required to perform the duties of the role effectively
- Minimum 1 year of post-graduate experience in a relevant clinical setting.
