This role in crucial to the firm as it enables us to appropriately resource the projects required to deliver a quality audit project and exceptional support service. Your main duties will involve but not be limited to:
- Day to day resourcing operations of your business units
- Building effective relationships with the central resourcing team and the Project Managers to understand the needs in respect of resourcing for assignments
- Familiarisation with the trainees' professional qualification pathways so that these are considered when allocating resource
- Working with People Managers and Project Managers to support any performance issues, and notifying them if there are any issues or concerns related to staff and trainees. Working closely with Resource Manager to monitor metrics such as utilisation, capacity and demand.
- Ensure adoption of all resourcing policies in your area of remit and provide training of Operations and Resourcing assistants
- Closely engage and challenge the allocation of resources to ensure optimal use of staff against the agreed budgets. Understand the skills and experience of the staff to be able to make informed suggestions and / or decisions relating to resourcing.
- Be the point of escalation for any training issues flagged by the Operations and Resource assistants
- Work closely with the Operations Team to ensure that all operational movements are reflected in the resource model accurately reflecting leavers, joiners and any other transfers. Assisting the Operations and Resourcing assistants to identify solutions to manage resourcing conflicts/clashes effectively, liaising with the relevant managers in a timely manner
- Coordinate and be involved in our alternative resourcing model managing offshore requests and requirements.
You'll be someone with:
- Experience in resource planning and management processes with exposure to tools and systems
- Intermediate IT skills (MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint & Excel)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proven ability to operate under pressure with conflicting priorities, tight deadlines and demanding stakeholder needs
- Ability to handle challenging conversations
- Ability to interpret and analyse MI and data to identify and solve problems
- Continued professional development of yourself and others, seeking challenges and opportunities
Desirable but not essential
- Experience in a professional services firm
- Previous experience of Dayshape
