Job Description
Radley Green is partnering with an international law firm is hiring a Resource Allocation Manager for its London Corporate team on a permanent basis.
This is a high-profile role working directly with partners - ideal for a Resource Manager from a large professional services or Law firm.
The RoleActing as trusted adviser to the partner group, you'll own the allocation and deployment of fee earners - balancing profitability, capacity and development - while using data and reporting to guide staffing decisions.
The Details- Job title: Resource Allocation Manager
- Sector: Legal / Professional Services
- Location: London - 3 days in office
- Salary: £80k-£90k depending on experience + bonus and great benefits.
- Act as the main point of contact for partners on resourcing, meeting regularly with partners and BD to track pipeline, workload and availability.
- Monitor fee earner utilisation and capacity, spotting trends and flagging issues before they become pinch points.
- Present capacity and resourcing updates at partner meetings, recommending practical solutions - particularly around leave, secondments and long-term absences.
- Allocate and deploy fee earners efficiently based on pipeline, utilisation and forecasted capacity, while aligning work with individual development goals.
- Build strong working relationships across teams, adapting resourcing processes to suit different working styles and client needs.
- Manage the resourcing side of onboarding, offboarding and client secondments, ensuring smooth transitions and continuity for clients.
- Oversee annual leave and absence planning across the partner groups to protect utilisation and keep work flowing efficiently.
- Produce reporting for mid-year and end-of-year appraisals, plus regular utilization and forecast summaries for partner-level review.
- Work with the Talent team to support inclusion priorities and share resourcing insights for performance and promotion processes.
- Champion the adoption of resourcing tools and process improvements, working with technology teams to keep systems and data accurate.
- Resourcing experience from a law firm or large professional services firm.
- Proven people management skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Confident communicator commercially minded and highly organized.
- Flexible, proactive, and comfortable working across teams.
- Strong IT skills.
